Job summary

Qatar Airways Group seeks a seasoned Business Analyst to lead business analysis across medium to complex transformation programs. You will own solution requirements for technology and partner with managers to identify risks and mitigation plans, capturing and baselining business needs and how technology delivers benefits for the organization.

You will collaborate with product engineering, business users, infrastructure, and cyber security to translate business needs into actionable system

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with minimum 7 years experience in business analysis in Airline operations.
• Proven track record delivering complex business and technology transformations as Business Analyst.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into system features to enable adaptability, scalability, and reusability.
• Lead Requirements and Gap Analysis workshops with product engineering, business users, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Create baseline for business, technical, migration, functional and non-functional viewpoints.
• Coordinate with product vendors across the solution lifecycle to align capabilities with requirements.
• Produce requirements deliverables: processes, scenarios, user stories, use cases, exceptions.
• Support testers to ensure comprehensive test cases and high-quality solutions.
• Ensure traceability of requirements across lifecycle from initiator to deployment.
• Communicate requirements clearly to business, architecture, and technical stakeholders.
• Prepare functional description documentation aligned to overall solution design.

Description

You will be responsible for Business Analysis work in medium to complex transformation programs and projects as Business Analyst. You will act as Solution Requirements Owner for Technology and work with managers to identify risks and provide mitigation plans. You will Support Program and Project management to plan and manage solution delivery execution including business and technology stakeholder’s management. You will capture business requirements, analyze, define and establish solution requirements baseline. You will work to bring together various stakeholders and outline in Business Terms to define and illustrate clearly the Business Needs and how the underlying Technology Solution will deliver expected benefits for the Organization.

Your Duties Would Include

• Work with relevant business stakeholders and system implementation partners to translate business requirements into systems features and patterns that enable. adaptability, scalability, availability, reusability, etc.
• Conduct and lead requirements and gap analysis workshops together with stakeholders from the product engineering team, business users, infrastructure provisioning, cyber security etc.
• Create project/solution requirements baseline including the required business, technical, migration, functional and non-functional viewpoints
• Co-ordinate closely with product vendors throughout the solution lifecycle, aligning product capabilities and roadmaps with business requirements, managing dependencies and clarifications, and supporting the timely resolution of delivery issues
• Produce comprehensive and high quality requirement deliverables including but not limited to Business Processes, Scenarios, User Stories, Use Cases, Exceptions etc. in order to translate Business Requirement into actionable solution requirements
• Support testers in the team to ensure that documented test cases are comprehensive with adequate coverage and effectively test the quality of solutions being delivered.
• Manage and support to achieve traceability of requirements across the project lifecycle from initiator to solution requirements baseline, to design, build, test and deploy.
• Communicate effectively requirements to various stakeholders considering the target audience e.g. business community, architecture and technical teams or UAT
• Prepare Functional Description Documentation for the Solution i.e. solution description understandable to business community, tracing back to requirements and also aligning to overall solution architecture and design with focus to consider how the end users shall perceive and use/benefit from the solution
• Work closely with technical leads, testers, trainers and other team members to ensure that features are implemented and rolled out as per planned priorities.
• Act as part of project team, collaborate effectively with Vendors and In-House participants at various organization levels
• Review and provide feedback for other project key deliverables such as Solution High Level Design, Migration and Test Strategies and ensure compliance with solution requirements
• Lead a team of Business Analysts, contribute to Business Analysis Center of Excellence in setting standards and good practices in Business Analysis Space.

Qualification

We Are Looking For a Passionate And Experienced Professional To Join Our IT - Team. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess The Following

• Bachelor Degree with minimum 7 years of work experience in the area of business analysis with domain experience in Airline operations (like flight Ops, crew operations etc)
• Excellent knowledge and proven track record on delivering complex business and technology transformations as Business Analyst.
• Good understanding and awareness of Technology and relevant Airline Industry evolution trends and their risks and opportunities.
• Strong aviation domain knowledge is highly desirable. Expertise in Loyalty platforms or CRM solutions is preferred. Hands-on experience in any of these areas will be considered a significant advantage.
• IT Industrial Certifications or Post Graduation with specific focus on Practical deployments is considered a plus
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSM, PSM, PSPO, CSPO or similar certifications demonstrating knowledge of planning and managing complex transformation initiatives is considered a plus.

• Ability to work in dynamic and challenging environment and manage multiple parallel complex initiatives as business analyst
• Ability to work very closely with Technology Architecture Teams in order to bring together Business need and the required underlying Technology realization, to deliver expected benefits to Organization
• Ability to work across the organization in multi-cultural environment with various stakeholders and domains and in various levels from Subject Matter Experts to Senior Management
• Interpersonal, communication, negotiation and leadership skills
• Strong vendor co-ordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with product vendors on requirements, solution fit, delivery dependencies, issue resolution and agreed outcomes
• Innovative and creative thinker
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Good cultural awareness and experience working in the Middle East is considered a plus
