Job summary

La Cigale Hotel, managed by Accor, seeks a Laundry/Linen Attendant to support day-to-day operations in the hotel laundry. You will sort, label, and prepare linen for distribution, assist with towel processing, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of hotel housekeeping experience, basic English, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Full-time on-site position in Qatar, with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience
• Previous experience in luxury hotel housekeeping is desirable
• High School diploma or vocational training

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled guestroom linen and prepare them for pick-up
• Sort/count soiled linen (Food & Beverage) and fill containers for pick-up
• Set aside misused linen for investigation
• Report articles found in linen/chute area (glass, food, cutlery, needles)
• Keep the working area clean and tidy at all times
• Wear mask and gloves as advised for health and safety
• Fold and pile clean towels and bathrobes for distribution
• Roll room linen into containers and keep clean linen ready for distribution
• Wash towels when required and handle chemicals safely
• Assist in other duties within linen/laundry area
• Report equipment malfunctions or health & safety hazards
• Attend training courses by Housekeeping/Human Resources

Job Description / Role:

Reporting to the Laundry Supervisor, this role is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations within the laundry and linen area at La Cigale Hotel Managed by Accor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort soiled guestroom linen as required and fill containers, label and prepare them for pick-up
• Sort/count soiled linen (Food & Beverage) and fill in containers, label and prepare them for pick-up
• Set aside misused linen for further investigation
• Report any articles found within the linen/ chute area e.g. glass, food, cutlery, needles etc.
• Keep the working area clean and tidy at all times
• Wear mask, gloves as advised for health and safety reasons
• Fold and pile clean towels, bathrobes to be picked-up and delivered by floor porters/ housemen
• Roll the room linen and put them into containers; keep the clean linen ready for distribution
• If and when required wash towels, observe all points in handling chemicals, lifting towels as trained.
• Help in other duties where necessary within linen/ laundry area
• Report of any malfunction of equipment or anything that may be a potential health & safety hazard to the Supervisor
• Attend training courses given by Housekeeping/ Human Resources Department

Experience Required:

• 1 year of work experience
• Previous experience in luxury hotel housekeeping department is desirable

Education Qualifications:

High School diploma, vocational training

Skills Required:

• Basic understanding of the English language
• Able to carry items or materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
