Job summary

QATAR DESIGN CONSORTIUM (QDC) in Doha is seeking a Mechanical Design professional with a minimum of 2 years experience in HVAC, fire protection, plumbing and drainage. The role requires a graduate engineering degree in Mechanical and Arabic language skills, with in-person work locally in Qatar.

Candidate should be locally available with valid QID and be prepared for immediate joining, while upholding QDC policies and safety, information security, and environmental guidelines in project execution.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineering degree in Mechanical from a recognized university.
• 2 years of mechanical design experience required (HVAC, fire protection, plumbing or drainage).
• Arabic language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Design projects per international standards and local regulations with senior engineer support.
• Attend technical meetings with client and departments for approvals.
• Deliverables meet project schedule with quality and cost effectiveness with seniors and CAD technicians.
• Maintain good customer relation and coordination within the project team.
• Adhere to QDC policy and department procedures.
• Ensure quality objectives are implemented in the department.
• Document customer complaints and close them per complaint handling process.
• Be aware of IMS policies (ISMS, sustainability, energy management) and follow the management system.
• Report incidents to the OHS team when any occur.
• Encourage involvement to improve management systems.
• Record and report information security incidents; follow ISMS in projects.
• Ensure NDA requirements are understood and recorded where applicable.
• Awareness of significant environmental aspects and occupational hazards.

Job description

Designing of Projects as per the International Standards and local Regulations with the support of Senior Engineers.

• Attend technical meetings with client/ various departments for the approval process.
• Ensure the deliverables as per the project schedule in time, quality and cost effective manner in coordination with the Senior Engineer and the Cad technicians.
• Maintain good customer relation and coordination between the project team at all time.
• Awareness of QDC policy and adherence to process procedures applicable to the department/company
• Ensure quality objectives of the department and its proper implementation.
• To document any customer complaints and take actions to ensure that they are effectively closed as per Customer Complaint Handling process.
• Awareness of Objective, IMS Policies (including ISMS, Sustainability, Energy Management, etc),benefits of following the established Management system as well and implication if not complying with the requirements.
• Incident Reporting to OHS team in case of any incidents
• Engaging and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness and improvement of the Management systems.
• Recording and reporting information security incidents.
• Ensuring and maintain Information security management system are followed in projects.
• To ensure NDA requirements are understood, where applicable signed and records maintained.

Area of experience: Mechanical Design (HVAC/Fire protection System/Plumbing/Drainage)

Educational Qualification: Graduate Engineering degree in Mechanical from recognized university.

Candidates with valid accreditation from UPDA Preferred.

Nationality: Arab Nationalities Preferred.

Locally available Candidates in Qatar with Valid QID & immediate joining are preferred.

Pay: QAR2,301.43 - QAR5,000.00 per month
