Job summary

isr transport in Doha is seeking an experienced ITS Operations Manager to own performance monitoring and improvement for the Roads Management Centre and Tunnel Control Centre in Qatar. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with government authorities and deliver KPI-driven insights for traffic operations and incident response.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in transportation planning, traffic operations, or ITS environments.
• Proven ability to deliver performance reporting and operational insights in live environments.
• Experience using modelling tools, data analytics and simulation to improve network performance.
• Hands-on incident management and major event operations experience.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Job description

• ITS Operations Manager (Performance & Analytics)
• Salary: Up to 40K (all inclusive – Basic, housing, transportation & flight allowance) plus health insurance coverage for employee and family (spouse + 3 children)

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced ITS Operations Manager to take ownership of performance monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement across a major Roads Management Centre (RMC) and Tunnel Control Centre operation in Qatar.

You’ll act as the key point of contact for major event coordination with stakeholders and develop, implement and continuously improve traffic response plans using data, modelling and operational insights.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead the monitoring and reporting of operational performance across RMC and tunnel operations
• Own and deliver monthly and ad-hoc performance reports, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery
• Manage subcontractors delivering traffic engineering and SCATS signal support, ensuring performance targets are met
• Drive data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, developing traffic engineering and operational enhancement plans
• Lead major incident and special event reporting, including lessons learned and best practice reviews
• Act as the focal point for coordination with key stakeholders (e.g. government authorities and transport bodies)
• Oversee traffic response planning for events, including system configuration and operational readiness
• Analyse and optimise existing traffic management strategies, using simulation modelling and data insights

Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience in transportation planning, traffic operations, or Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) environments
• Proven ability to manage and deliver performance reporting, KPIs and operational insights within complex, live environments
• Experience using traffic modelling tools, data analytics and simulation to assess and improve network performance
• Hands-on experience with incident management, traffic response planning and major event operations
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with performance targets
• Demonstrated ability to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives
