Job summary

Nair Systems is currently looking for an IT Project Manager - Cards for our Qatar operations. The role focuses on delivering complex banking technology projects across credit, debit, and prepaid cards, with governance and stakeholder coordination at the core.

The candidate will manage end-to-end delivery, work with card schemes, vendors, and compliance teams, and ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality meet program expectations. 2 weeks maximum 1 month joining.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in IT Project Management, preferably within banking, financial services, cards, payments, or digital banking environments.
• PMP certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end IT project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and project closure.
• Experience working in structured governance environments with strong documentation, reporting, escalation, and change control practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of IT projects in the Cards and Banking domain with emphasis on governance, scope, timelines, budget and quality.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, card schemes, and compliance teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams; manage risks, issues, dependencies, changes, and escalations.

Purpose

This job profile is prepared to support recruitment of an experienced IT Project Manager with strong expertise in Cards, Banking Technology, and IT project delivery. The profile may be shared with consultant/recruitment companies for sourcing suitable candidates.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with strong knowledge of banking technology and the Cards domain. The candidate should have hands-on experience managing complex IT projects within the banking or financial services industry, particularly across Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Prepaid Cards, ePayments, and related regulatory and scheme-driven initiatives.

The role requires close coordination with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, card schemes, compliance teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within agreed scope, timelines, budget, quality, and governance standards.

Experience and Certification Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in IT Project Management, preferably within banking, financial services, cards, payments, or digital banking environments.
• PMP certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end IT project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and project closure.
• Experience working in structured governance environments with strong documentation, reporting, escalation, and change control practices.

Cards and Banking Domain Knowledge

• Good understanding of tokenization, PCI DSS, ePayments, digital wallets, and payment processing flows.
• Knowledge of card schemes, certifications, mandates, and compliance requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage project risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and escalations.
• Strong analytical, planning, documentation, and reporting capabilities.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in banking IT environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and proactive delivery approach.
