Commercial Bank seeks an Investment Analyst to support the wealth management advisory unit in achieving investment targets and portfolio maintenance. You will research, collect and analyze information to help the team make informed decisions for clients' portfolios.

Qualifications

Job Summary

The primary role of this position is to support the unit of wealth management advisory in achieving the investment targets and maintaining the portfolio. The Investment Analyst will be tasked with researching, collecting and analyzing information, in order to help wealth advisory team to make effective and profitable decisions on behalf of the clients, whilst building a successful investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct In-Depth Market Research: Perform comprehensive analysis of markets, sectors, and industries to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. This involves gathering and interpreting large datasets, tracking economic indicators, and monitoring global market dynamics.
• Portfolio Analysis & Reporting: Regularly review and assess the performance of client portfolios, measuring returns, volatility, and adherence to investment objectives. Prepare and present detailed performance reports, highlighting areas for potential adjustment based on market or client needs.
• Monitoring Economic & Market Events: Stay updated on macroeconomic trends, market-moving events, and global news that may impact investments. This includes analyzing earnings reports, economic data releases, central bank announcements, and geopolitical developments.
• Supporting Investment Strategy Development: Assist in formulating investment strategies by providing actionable insights and recommendations. This involves identifying assets aligned with growth, income, or capital preservation objectives, depending on the client's risk profile.
• Presenting Research & Investment Ideas: Communicate findings to portfolio managers, senior analysts, or advisory teams in concise, data-backed presentations. This requires translating complex financial data into clear, strategic insights and preparing written research notes, reports, or investment briefs.
• Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with trading, product, and advisory teams to ensure cohesive investment decisions. Collaboration may also involve coordinating with external analysts, brokers, and information providers.
• Regulatory Compliance Any other ad-hoc operational or business requirements required to achieve collective goals and objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

• University degree or diploma from a recognized university or body
• Minimum 2 years in financial services industry
• Professional Certification is preferable CFA, CSC, PFPC, or CISI

Required Experience

• Over-all wealth knowledge/experience
• Financial knowledge and understanding – i.e. P&L, pricing and balance sheet
• Strong Data Analytic and numerical skills
• Good understanding of banking processes and policies
• Good project management skills
• Strong operational management skills
