Job summary

Starlink Qatar seeks an experienced Integration and Interoperability Specialist to design, implement and operate an interoperability framework enabling secure, standards-compliant exchange of information across clinical and business systems.

The role requires hands-on development of healthcare interfaces, expertise in HL7 v2 and FHIR, and experience with interface engines such as Rhapsody or equivalents. 7+ years in healthcare integration is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or paramedical discipline; equivalent health-informatics or technical qualifications may be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare integration or interoperability.
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting of healthcare interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2 and FHIR, including messages, events, segments, profiles, mappings and conformance.
• Experience with interface engines or middleware, preferably Rhapsody or an equivalent enterprise engine.
• Ability to produce interface specifications, inventories, data mappings, test evidence and operational controls.

We are seeking an experienced Integration and Interoperability Specialist (Senior Technical Specialist) to join a national eHealth programme.

THE ROLE

Design, implement and operate the interoperability framework, interfaces and controls that enable clinical and business systems to exchange accurate, secure and standards-compliant information.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or paramedical discipline; equivalent health-informatics or technical qualifications may be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare integration or interoperability.
• Hands‑on development and troubleshooting of healthcare interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2 and FHIR, including messages, events, segments, profiles, mappings and conformance.
• Experience with interface engines or middleware, preferably Rhapsody or an equivalent enterprise engine.
• Ability to produce interface specifications, inventories, data mappings, test evidence and operational controls.

KEY SKILLS

• HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, REST/JSON and healthcare APIs
• Rhapsody, Mirth, InterSystems, Cloverleaf or comparable integration engines
• Interface design, configuration, transformation, routing and monitoring
• Clinical terminologies and code systems such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD and value sets
• HIE workflows, EMR integration, MPI/identity management and consent-aware exchange
• Data integrity, error handling, reconciliation, audit trails and performance monitoring
• API testing and technical tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, SQL and log analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• National HIE, e-prescription, pharmacy supply-chain or registry integration experience
• FHIR certification or demonstrated profile / implementation-guide work
• Cloud integration and API-management experience
• Experience leading interoperability working groups and vendor integration
