Responsibilities
- Facilitate the pre-approval process for patient treatments and procedures with various insurance providers.
- Liaise effectively with insurance companies to ensure timely approvals and accurate documentation.
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for patients.
- Collaborate closely with medical and administrative staff to ensure seamless coordination of insurance-related processes.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of insurance claims and approvals.
- Address any discrepancies or issues in insurance claims to ensure timely resolution.
- Stay updated with insurance policies, guidelines, and industry changes to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience (number of years) working as an Insurance Coordinator or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance procedures, specifically in obtaining pre-approvals.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with insurance companies and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for maintaining records and processing insurance claims.
- Knowledge of Qatar's healthcare insurance landscape is preferable.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in healthcare administration or insurance-related fields is a plus.
