Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist to oversee network connectivity, provide detailed analysis, and facilitate the approval process for Change Requests (CR) submitted by the network team. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of the organization's network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and manage the organization's network connectivity to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
2. Evaluate and approve network-related Change Requests (CR) by reviewing technical documentation and validating proposed changes.
3. Work closely with the network team to analyze infrastructure requirements and provide expert recommendations.
4. Identify and troubleshoot network issues, escalating to relevant teams when necessary.
5. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and best practices for network connectivity.
6. Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
7. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to coordinate infrastructure upgrades and maintenance activities.
8. Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff regarding network connectivity and infrastructure challenges.
9. Perform regular network performance assessments and recommend improvements where needed.
10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in network infrastructure management and connectivity troubleshooting.
3. Strong understanding of network protocols, security practices, and infrastructure components.
4. Proficiency in reviewing and approving network change requests with a focus on security and performance.
5. Experience with network monitoring tools and technologies.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in working with cloud-based network solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud).
2. Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
3. Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches.

Work Environment:

This role may require occasional after-hours work to support critical network changes. The candidate may be required to provide on-call support for emergency network incidents.
