Schneider Electric is seeking an ICs Cybersecurity Lead Engineer to join the Center of Expertise within Industrial Automation. You will lead and deliver ICT cybersecurity projects, manage site visits, training, and consulting to ensure robust cybersecurity infrastructure for Schneider Electric applications.

The role focuses on OT/ICS security, risk assessments, and collaboration with multiple teams to embed cybersecurity across projects. Travel and site work are required.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in cybersecurity or computer-related field.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong networking knowledge and defense mechanisms.
  • Experience with MITRE ATT&CK, red teaming, and OT security practices.
  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Security+, CEH, CISSP, IEC-62443 are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Lead/execute cybersecurity projects for OT systems and networks, including design and delivery.
  • Implement cybersecurity controls and safeguards for OT environments.
  • Assess vulnerabilities and risks; propose remediation actions.
  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments on client OT systems.
  • Provide guidance on OT cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
  • Design and maintain cybersecurity controls for OT systems and networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-team to embed cybersecurity into OT projects.
  • Stay updated on OT cybersecurity trends and threats.
  • Lead or participate in FAT/SAT testing.

Your Mission

The ICs Cybersecurity Lead Engineer will be working with Center of Expertise (COE) team within Schneider Electric Industrial Automation business to participate in, and/or lead, the delivery of ICT projects.

Your Role – Magic happens when you bring great people together!

As a Cybersecurity expert, you will be responsible for assisting in the technical execution and delivery of cybersecurity solutions to clients. This includes managing the implementation of these solutions, conducting site visits to maintain the cybersecurity solution, providing cybersecurity training, and consulting on cybersecurity matters as needed. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the necessary cybersecurity infrastructure is in place to support Schneider Electric applications. Additionally, you may be involved in gathering and defining requirements for cybersecurity projects.

  • Assisting and/or leading Cybersecurity projects for OT systems and networks, including design, planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Implementing cybersecurity controls and safeguards to protect OT systems and networks
  • Analyzing the cybersecurity posture of OT systems and networks, identifying vulnerabilities and risks, and recommending remediation measures.
  • Conduct or participate in risk assessments and vulnerability assessments on the OT systems of our clients
  • Providing expert guidance and consulting on OT cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
  • Design, configuration, and maintenance of cybersecurity controls for OT systems and networks.
  • Collaborating with other teams and departments to ensure the integration of cybersecurity into OT projects and operations.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest OT cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
  • Lead or Participate in Cybersecurity factory and site Acceptance testing (FAT/SAT)
  • Create and present technical documentation as needed (FDS, DDS, FAT, MOS, etc.)
About You
  • Experience
    • 1-8 years performing the installation and/or management of network-based firewalls, preferably Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or another top-tier product.
    • 1-8 years performing L2/L3 advanced network implementation and configuration.
    • 1-8 years performing network troubleshooting using sniffers and other tools/technique.
    • 1-8 years performing the installation and/or management of network-based Intrusion Detection products.
    • 1-8 years of experience in implementing End-Point security solutions (Antivirus, Data Leakage Prevention, Host IPS, whitelisting).
    • 1-3 years of experience in implementing system backup solutions
    • 1-8 years in scripting skills and programming language (python, PowerShell, Bash etc..).
    • 1-8 years of experience using discovery, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing tools (Nessus, Qualys, ZAP Proxy, Burp Suite, Metasploit, etc…).
    • Experience/Knowledge in OT SOC, Incident Response processes.
    • Experience/Knowledge in OT Industrial Control System.
    • Mastery of Industrial Control System standards such as IEC62443, Zones & conduits, NIST, QCERT.
  • Qualifications:
    • Master’s Degree in a Cybersecurity or computer related field or equivalent.
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and techniques.
    • Strong understanding of networking concepts.
    • Strong understanding of Cyber Defense mechanism, MITRE ATT&CK framework, Red teaming methodology, etc.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Relevant networking, systems and cybersecurity certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH (or similar), CISSP, IEC-62443 (or similar) .
  • Travel: 30% or more.
  • Site: 50% or more
