Job summary

Nord Anglia Education in Doha invites an Early Years Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA). The role focuses on delivering play-based, inquiry-led learning for 3–6-year-olds within the IB PYP framework, fostering curiosity and international-mindedness.

You will partner with families, contribute to unit planning with the Early Years team, and support wellbeing, independence and social-emotional development while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification in Early Years, primary or early childhood education (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent)
• Experience teaching in Early Years with children aged 3–6, ideally in an IB or international school
• Knowledge of the IB PYP Early Years framework or equivalent inquiry-based curriculum
• Strong understanding of child development theory and play-based learning
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, nurturing approach with young children and families
• Commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding of all children
• International school experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based and inquiry-led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years framework
• Create a nurturing, safe and stimulating learning environment for all children
• Assess and track children's development using observations and portfolio evidence; use this to inform next steps
• Build strong partnerships with parents through regular communication
• Contribute to planning, reflection and review of units of inquiry with the Early Years team
• Promote the IB learner profile, international-mindedness and PYP attitudes in classroom practice
• Support children's wellbeing, independence and social-emotional development
• Contribute to wider EGA school community, including CPD, events and improvement activities
