Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Doha invites applications for an In Room Dining Order Taker to join our Food & Beverage team. The role focuses on taking guest orders for in-room dining, offering suggestions to complete choices and ensuring timely delivery under supervision of managers.

You will work with the IRD team to maintain accurate guest details, demonstrate professional phone etiquette, and support kitchen and service staff to deliver a seamless guest experience within a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Have a very good understanding of food and beverage offerings and be able to verbally explain those to the guest.
• Display proper and professional phone etiquette and ensure guest details and requests are clearly registered and communicated.
• Maintain smooth communication with kitchen staff for a flawless service.

Responsibilities

• Track and follow up on the timely delivery of orders and collection of trolleys with the in room dining colleagues to avoid delays.
• Maintain a clear knowledge of all IG point of sales related and perform any tasks relating to billing according to hotel standards and cashiering policies.
• Any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the IRD Manager including assisting other outlets.

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Doha within the Food & Beverage Department in Doha, The Order Taker will be responsible to take all guest orders for in-room dining and will offer suggestions to complete and complement the guest’s selections. The Order Taker will monitor guest orders and offer assistance if required to the server under the guidance of the respective managers.

The Order Taker reports to the In Room Dining Manager.

As Order Taker, you will beresponsiblefor the following duties:

• Maintain a clear knowledge of all IG point of sales related and perform any tasks relating to billing according to hotel standards and cashiering policies.
