Job summary

Candidzone L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to support health, safety, and environmental compliance activities in Qatar. The candidate should have 5–6 years of total experience, GCC exposure, and strong knowledge of HSE policies and site safety.

This is a 1-month contract with potential extension, offering opportunities for professional development through recognized safety certifications and on-site safety improvements.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree is mandatory.
• Minimum 5–6 years of total professional experience.
• GCC experience is required.
• NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
• IOSH certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of HSE policies and procedures.
• Good understanding of site safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Construction industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies and site safety procedures.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Support risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Monitor compliance with applicable safety procedures and project requirements.
• Promote safe working practices among site personnel and contractors.
• Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain safety records, reports, inspections, and related documentation.
• Support incident reporting and investigation activities where required.
• Conduct or assist with safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with project teams to address health and safety concerns.
• Monitor the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safe working practices.
• Support continuous improvement of site safety and HSE compliance.
