Job summary

Prime Veritas is seeking an experienced HSE Officer for an RLIC project in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The role is full-time and on-site, with immediate availability preferred. You will ensure compliance with HSE policies, conduct site inspections, and lead risk assessments and PTW processes.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering/Science, NEBOSH IGC, and strong knowledge of RLIC regulations. Qatar driving license and transfer of visa are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering/Science or equivalent.
• NEBOSH IGC is mandatory.
• IOSH Managing Safely / OSHA certification preferred.
• First Aid & Fire Fighting training certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, client requirements, and RLIC regulations.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Carry out Risk Assessments, JSA, and Tool Box Talks.
• Monitor high-risk activities including lifting, hot work, confined space, excavation, and work at height.
• Verify PTW compliance before work begins.
• Conduct safety inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and submit reports.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers.
• Coordinate emergency drills and maintain HSE records.
• Liaise with client HSE representatives and participate in safety meetings.

Experience Required

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Mandatory experience in RLIC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, or Industrial Construction projects Experience in shutdowns, maintenance, EPC, or construction projects is preferred

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid Qatar Driving License
• Immediate availability to join
• Valid QID with transferable visa (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of RLIC Safety Regulations and Permit to Work (PTW) System

• Conduct safety inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and submit detailed reports.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers.
• Monitor housekeeping standards and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and evacuation exercises.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and statutory documentation.
• Liaise with client HSE representatives and participate in safety meetings.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure zero harm at the workplace.
