Job summary

EnerMech is seeking an HSE Leader to implement Group HSE objectives and ensure compliance with HSE standards across all operations. The ideal candidate will possess a NEBOSH Certificate and ISO Auditor certification, with a strong background in HSE leadership. What is the Role?

The role involves providing HSE leadership by implementing Group HSE objectives, ensuring effective application of HSE standards and procedures, monitoring trends, and driving initiatives to mitigate risks.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide HSE Leadership
  2. Support and lead the implementation of all EnerMech Management System procedures and guides
  3. Promote HSE awareness and culture throughout the organization
  4. Develop and implement the annual EnerMech Audit programme and ensure corrective actions are completed
  5. Be accountable to the Regional HSE Manager for HSE objectives
  6. Act as the primary HSE contact within the organization
  7. Review requests for pre-qualification or tender documentation for project deliverables
  8. Support project management, engineering, and business development teams as needed
  9. Develop and facilitate project QHSE risk assessments
  10. Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA
  11. Maintain HSE records and reports
  12. Assist with HSE inspections and audits, including internal, sub-contractor, and third-party audits
  13. Support investigations into non-conformities, incidents, near misses, damages, and customer complaints, and report findings to management
  14. Develop and monitor HSE performance metrics, action plans, and hold managers accountable
  15. Report on internal client KPIs
  16. Champion HSE compliance in all workplaces
  17. Lead the deployment of the EnerMech Engagement Team (EET) and support their annual planning
  18. Enhance behavioral safety aspects among the workforce
  19. Deliver HSE projects within budget and schedule targets
  20. Liaise with external bodies on HSE matters
  21. Advise business lines to meet client needs
  22. Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement
  23. Manage line personnel

Essential Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (Environmental and Health & Safety)
  • ISO Auditor certification
  • Incident Investigation expertise
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
  • Experience in a similar international role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH diploma (obtained or in progress)
  • Chartered member of an HSEQ institute
