Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Doha invites you to join our luxury hotel team as a Housekeeping Attendant. You will clean guest rooms, suites and public areas to the highest standards, reporting to your supervisor and living the five winning ways.

Ideal candidates bring luxury-hotel experience, a business-related degree, and strong English and Arabic communication. You will work in a fast-paced, diverse environment, participate in teamwork, and may assist with deep cleaning and turndown duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a luxury hotel.
• A business-related degree or equivalent.
• Experience in effective learning and development methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse work environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English & Arabic.
• Additional language is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Result-oriented and self-motivated along with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc.
• May include cleaning of kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc
• Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied.
• Report any room unable to be serviced to supervisor according to established procedures.
• Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures
• May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
• May have turndown duties.

What’s the job?

As a Housekeeping Attendant you are responsible to clean guest rooms, suites and/or public area assigned by your supervisor in a timely and thorough manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. Your day-to-day
