Job summary

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Lusail, Qatar is seeking a non-management, full-time Maintenance Technician to respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks. The role requires carrying tools, inspecting equipment, and coordinating with shifts to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some general maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Some experience in general maintenance is preferred.
Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
Driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment in kitchens and mechanical rooms.
Inspect tools and equipment, identify leaks or malfunctions, and perform basic repairs.
Operate shut-off valves and monitor building utility systems.
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed.
Record daily activities and communicate issues to other shifts.
Follow safety policies, complete training, and store flammable materials properly.
Assist with interior and exterior maintenance tasks and basic painting.
Program TVs and manage related inventory tasks as required.
