Job summary

A prominent technical services company in Qatar is seeking a Hook Up Superintendent. This role requires over 10 years of offshore experience in supervisory roles specifically for hook ups in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or relevant experience, OPITO certification is a plus. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in English, along with a strong knowledge of hook up operations and project management. A capability to be based on platforms or vessels is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hook up supervision within the oil and gas industry.
• Extensive offshore experience and ability to work on a platform or vessel.
• Knowledge of offshore lifting and marine units operation.
• 10+ years of experience in discipline with at least 5 years engineering, installation and hook up in major capital projects.
• Hook-Up offshore experience with EPC contractors, subcontractors and vendors in oil and gas.
• Worldwide experience with LNG facilities contractors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with teamwork and PMT interaction.
• Knowledge of stakeholder specifications and industry standards.
• Knowledge/experience in offshore lifting and marine units operation including jack-up barge & MWS interfaces.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work on or be based on a platform or vessel.

• Preferred bachelors degree or relevant on the job experience.
• Extensive Offshore experience in Hook Up Supervisory Role.
• Required to have offshore survival certificate and be able to pass an offshore medical evaluation.
• OPITO certification is considered a plus.
• Recommended 10+ years of experience in discipline with at least 5 years demonstrated engineering, installation and hook up experience in similar Topside major capital projects.
• Hook-Up Offshore experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
• Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the Offshore LNG production facilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork & the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
• Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge & experience for offshore lifting & marine units operation including jack-up barge & MWS interfaces.
• Excellent knowledge of hook up operation and process such as job cards preparation, planning, pre-commissioning, commissioning, mobilisation and demobilisation of jack up barge, execution of hook up campaign and handing over the completed hook up scope. Full knowledge of SIMOPS and permitting system are a must.
• A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
• Ability to work on or be based on a platform or vessel.
