University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is seeking a Library Systems Manager to oversee all library systems, including ILS, discovery layers, and related software. You will lead configuration, training, and data migration while ensuring compliance with UDST policies and standards.

You will supervise staff, develop collection materials in IT, and coordinate with IT operations and external vendors to optimize library services. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is preferred.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Library and/or Information Science (ALA-accredited or equivalent).
• 7+ years of relevant experience in Library Systems or related field.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide professional assistance in all library systems management, including software training and staff training.
• Manage configuration and troubleshooting of ILS modules and discovery layer.
• Implement batch changes to ILS records for better reporting and user experience.
• Oversee cataloguing, classification, and bibliographic standards in line with UDST policies.
• Stay current with ILS developments and manage data migration and training when upgrading systems.
• Integrate discovery layer with website and e-resources and improve interface design.
• Develop collection materials in Information Technology and related areas.
• Manage website design with development support using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Maintain and train staff on the library’s digital resources and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and external vendors on system customizations to meet needs.
• Participate in committees to align library policies with best practices.
• Contribute to KPIs for Library Systems and monitor performance.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
• Provide staff development and periodic performance reviews.
