Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies Middle East & Africa seeks a Commissioning Engineer for water and wastewater facilities. You will plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities, ensure all systems are tested and handed over to operations, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 8–10 years’ experience, ability to read P&IDs/electrical schematics, and strong communication. Travel to project sites and other countries is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics & Communication/Instrumentation & Control/Automation Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in commissioning water and wastewater plants.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and other countries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation and process systems.
• Conduct system inspections, functional tests, and performance verification of treatment equipment.
• Review P&IDs, equipment specifications, and installation drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues during commissioning phases.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and punch lists.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies for inspections and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operations personnel.
• Ensure safe, compliant handover to operations.
