Overview

Horticulturist Gardener – We are seeking a skilled and experienced Horticulturist Gardener to join our team in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. As a Horticulturist Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for the gardens and grounds of our clients' properties. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for gardening and horticulture to work in a beautiful and dynamic city.

Responsibilities

• Designing and planning the layout of gardens, including selecting suitable plants and trees
• Planting, pruning, trimming, fertilizing, and watering plants
• Maintaining lawns by mowing, edging, and weeding
• Installing irrigation systems and ensuring they are functioning properly
• Identifying and treating plant diseases and pests
• Maintaining garden tools and equipment
• Liaising with clients to understand their garden preferences and needs
• Providing suggestions for improving the aesthetics of the garden

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Horticulturist Gardener or similar role
• Knowledge of different plant species, their growth patterns, care needs, and pest control methods
• Ability to operate gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, etc.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance
• Excellent communication skills to understand clients' requirements
• Physically fit to carry out gardening tasks such as lifting heavy objects or working in varying weather conditions

Preferred qualifications

• Diploma or degree in horticulture or related field
• Experience working in residential gardens or public parks/gardens
