Job Description

The Spa Attendant/Reception ensures the guests experience is up to the 5* standards by dealing with them directly and addressing the details behind the scenes to go above and beyond their expectations. Their objectives include assisting guests with spa, gym and pool related information, giving them personal attention, anticipating their needs and being an escort to the appropriate facilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Greet all arriving and departing guests by name, inquire about their level of satisfaction with the services, and maintain positive relations at all times.
  2. Recognise arrivals of all VIP guests arriving in both the spa and hotel.
  3. Ensure the facility is in peak condition and clean at all times.
  4. Responsible for driving the guest experience and communication amongst the colleagues orchestrating a smooth guest sequence delivery.
  5. Ensure guest/member preferences and special requests are accommodated to the best of the property’s abilities.
  6. Ensure the spa is receiving the highest ratings from the Trust You VOG scores as well as LQA/Forbes guest satisfaction and is a priority at all times.
  7. Maintain guest confidentiality at all times.
  8. Communicate guest preferences to relevant departments and co-workers.
  9. Deal with any guest complaints, comments or concerns with discretion and urgency.
  10. Maintain the provision of amenities and towels, including stocking fresh ones and collecting used ones.
  11. Ensure treatment area lighting and music levels are correctly set and maintained.
  12. Knowledgeable of the spa’s reservation systems and existing spa equipment.
  13. Maintain the appearance of all therapy facilities including prep, treatment areas, guest access areas, and supporting facilities.
  14. Remove any dishes left by the guests and clean them.
  15. Retrieve and deliver linen daily to the main laundry and count to ensure no linen is missing.
  16. Roll and stock towels in guest areas as per the standard.
  17. Ensure all lockers are stocked to standard with appropriate supplies.
  18. Clean and disinfect all areas of the spa including showers, bathrooms, reception, wet and thermal areas, guest lounges, staff rooms and prep area.
  19. Offer attentive service and adapt to any constraints guests may have.
  20. Heed any remarks made by guests and ensure follow-up.
  21. Establish good relations with guests, offering advice and fostering customer loyalty.
  22. Ensure that the workplace remains clean and tidy and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCP regulations.
  23. Ensure guest/member satisfaction at all times by assuring safety and service is always the spa’s first priority.
