Job summary

Qatar Airways Group is seeking a Freighter Operations Support Manager in Doha to guide Loadmasters, Special Loads, Charter Operations, and FCLC, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient freighter operations across the network.

You will drive performance, oversee governance, and lead change initiatives while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain resilience and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 7 years of job-related experience.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in operational leadership and team management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee cargo freighter operations across Loadmasters, Special Loads, Charter Operations, and FCLC functions, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
• Drive operational performance, productivity, service quality, and continuous process improvement across all freighter operations functions.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute strategic initiatives, business improvement programs, and operational projects aligned with departmental and organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, security, regulatory, training, operational, and weight & balance requirements.
• Provide governance and oversight of freighter weight & balance processes, operational controls, and documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, operational alignment, resource optimization, and successful delivery of operational initiatives.
• Lead, coach, develop, and empower team members through performance management, talent development, employee engagement, and succession planning initiatives.
• Lead and support operational audits, investigations, risk assessments, change management initiatives, and corrective action implementation.
• Lead business continuity planning, disruption management, contingency response, and operational resilience activities.

About the Role

In this role, you will support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives within Freighter Operations while ensuring that safety, security, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity remain the highest priorities. You will provide leadership, direction, and management oversight across Loadmasters, Special Loads, Charter Operations, and Freight Centralized Load Control (FCLC), driving operational excellence, business continuity, operational resilience, and continuous improvement across the freighter network.

Other key responsibilities include:

Qualification

About You

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 7 years of job-related experience.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in operational leadership and team management.
• Experience within aviation, cargo operations, logistics, supply chain, air transport, or freighter operations is preferred.
• Experience driving operational process improvements and change initiatives is preferred.
• High standards of integrity, governance, safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
