Job summary

Qatar Airways Cargo in Doha is inviting applications for a Freighter Load Control Officer. You will oversee centralized weight and balance functions across the freighter network and ensure safe, compliant operations through load plans and load sheets.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with stations, handling dangerous goods considerations, and optimizing loading configurations to maximize payload and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Weight and Balance certification for wide-body freighters and wide/narrow body pax aircraft.
• Dangerous Goods Regulation certification (CAT 10, CAT 6 or equivalent).
• 3 years of centralized load control experience on wide body aircraft.
• Knowledge of IATA regulations and aircraft loading compatibilities.
• Experience as onboard loadmaster on B777F and/or wide body freighter aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Prepare load plans and load sheets and optimize cargo loading for freighter flights.
• Act as operational focal point for weight and balance during shifts.
• Coordinate with stations and stakeholders for accurate payload data.
• Ensure DG and loading restrictions are considered in planning.
• Optimize aircraft loading configurations for payload utilization and efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with weight & balance, safety and operational procedures.

About the Role

As a Freighter Load Control Officer, you will be responsible for centralized weight and balance functions across the Qatar Airways freighter network.

You are also required to ensure safe and high-quality freighter operations through effective preparation of load plans and load sheets while supporting compliance with operational, safety and regulatory requirements.

Other responsibilities are inclusive and not limited to:

• Prepare load plans, load sheets and optimize cargo loading for freighter flights.
• Act as the operational focal point for weight and balance activities during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate with stations and stakeholders to ensure accurate payload and loading information.
• Ensure dangerous goods, special cargo and aircraft loading restrictions are considered during planning.
• Optimize aircraft loading configurations to maximize payload utilization and operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with weight and balance, safety, security and operational procedures.

Qualification

About You

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of job-related experience.
• Weight and Balance certification on wide body freighters and wide and narrow body pax aircrafts.
• Valid Dangerous Goods Regulation (CAT 10, CAT 6 or equivalent) certification.
• 3 years of centralized load control experience on wide body aircraft.
• Knowledge of IATA regulations and aircraft loading compatibilities.
• Experience as onboard loadmaster on B777F and/or wide body freighter aircraft
• Understanding of cargo and freighter operations
