Job summary

A leading food safety consultancy in Qatar is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure compliance with food safety standards. DESCRIPTION: Food Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards across food handling, storage, preparation, packaging, and transport
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to local and international regulations (e.g., MOPH, HACCP, ISO : 8).
  • Identify food safety hazards and assess risks in food processing and storage areas.
  • Implement and monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) to prevent foodborne illnesses and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide training on sanitation, food storage, hygiene, and handling procedures to staff.
  • Maintain and update food safety records, including inspection reports and training documentation.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food safety performance to management, authorities, and clients.
  • Conduct routine and unannounced inspections of food handling areas to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in implementing and improving the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), including HACCP and ISO .
  • Investigate and address food safety incidents or complaints and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Foster a strong food safety culture and promote awareness through training and communication.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
