Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  2. Inform guests about all hotel services and promotions upon request.
  3. Foster good working relationships with colleagues.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the menu, beverage list, and wine list.
  5. Maintain telephone etiquette at all times.
  6. Accurately take guest orders and honor all special requests.
  7. Process pre-ordered meals.
  8. Upsell orders to guests.
  9. Provide appropriate preparation and delivery times.
  10. Enter guest orders into Micros POS system.
  11. Communicate all incoming orders to servers properly.
  12. Keep track of all incoming and outgoing orders on floor sheets.
  13. Maintain an accurate cash bank balance.
  14. Close checks properly upon server’s return.
  15. Perform courtesy call-backs.
  16. Process amenities requests.
  17. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
  18. Inform Room Service staff of guest check-outs.
  19. Assist with checks for Room Service.
  20. Pay out tips and gratuities.
  21. Handle cash payments appropriately.
  22. Assist with tray and table setups if necessary.
  23. Assist with side work as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Excellent communication and organizational skills (Fluent in English).
  2. Responsible and reliable.
  3. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Team player.
  5. Previous Food & Beverage experience is an asset but not required.
  6. Previous Micros experience is an asset but not required (training provided).
