Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Report to work on scheduled time, wearing the proper uniform and nametag at all times.
  2. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  3. Inform guests about all other hotel services and promotions upon request.
  4. Maintain good working relationships with all fellow colleagues.
  5. Keep an up-to-date knowledge of the menu, beverage list and wine list.
  6. Maintain the telephone etiquette at all times.
  7. Take guest orders accurately, honoring all special requests.
  8. Process pre-ordered meals.
  9. Upsell orders.
  10. Give appropriate preparation and delivery times.
  11. Enter guest orders in Micros POS.
  12. Communicate all incoming orders to servers properly.
  13. Keep track of all incoming and outgoing orders on floor sheets.
  14. Maintain an accurate balance of your bank.
  15. Close checks accordingly upon return of servers.
  16. Do courtesy callbacks.
  17. Process amenities.
  18. Handle guest inquiries and complaints.
  19. Inform RC staff of guest check-outs.
  20. Assist RC with checks.
  21. Run shift end Micros reports.
  22. Pay out tips and gratuities.
  23. Drop cash payments.
  24. Assist with tray and table setups if necessary.
  25. Assist with side work if necessary.

Qualifications:

  1. Excellent communication and organizational skills (Fluent in English).
  2. Must be responsible & reliable.
  3. Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Must be able to work well in a team environment.
  5. Previous F&B experience an asset, but not required.
  6. Previous Micros experience an asset, but not required (training provided).
