Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the operations of our food and beverage department at a renowned Hotel in Doha. In this key role, the manager will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high service standards, and meeting financial goals. Additionally, the Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, controlling costs, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and fostering a positive guest experience. By overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations, the manager will ensure the department runs smoothly and contributes to the overall success of the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the daily activities of food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, catering services, and room service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Staff Management: Lead, train, and develop a team of food and beverage staff, providing continuous coaching and performance feedback.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that guests receive outstanding service and attention, addressing any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Inventory & Budget Management: Oversee the inventory control of food, beverages, and supplies, manage stock levels, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Menu Development & Quality Control: Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to create innovative and seasonal menus while ensuring quality standards.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations to guarantee the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales, expenses, and profitability, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement promotions and special events to enhance guest experience.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and a smooth guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field; certification in food safety is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in budgeting, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and industry trends.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Work Schedule: Full-time position, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and manage a fast-paced environment.
- Location: Doha, Qatar – Must be available to work on-site.
