Job summary

QatarEnergy in Qatar seeks a skilled Firefighter to join the emergency response team. You will respond to fires, rescues and other incidents, participating in drills to maintain high levels of readiness for community safety and safe working environments.

The role requires five years of firefighting experience, NFPA 1001 certification, CPR with AED, a heavy vehicle driving license, and strong English communication. You will operate a wide range of firefighting equipment in challenging situations.

Qualifications

• Certified in Basic Fire Fighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001) and Breathing Apparatus.
• First Aider to first responder (CPR with AED).
• Minimum five years as a Fire-Fighter in a commercial/industrial or other specified environments.
• Valid driving license, preferably Heavy Vehicle.
• Proficient use of firefighting and rescue equipment.
• Ability to absorb information rapidly at incidents in dangerous/ confusing conditions.
• Intermediate English (QP L3) spoken and written.

Primary Purpose Of The Job

Perform duties as an integral part of a team responding to fires, rescues and other emergency situations to prevent escalation as quickly as possible. Participate in drills and exercises within the community developing competencies as individuals and as a team to benefit the community and within a safe working environment.

Required Experience And Skills

• Successfully completed Basic Fire Fighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001) & Breathing Apparatus Wearer Course.
• Qualified First Aider to first responder (CPR with AED) level
• Minimum five years as a Fire-Fighter in a commercial or industrial Fire-Fighter environment, civil defence force, or military fire service or successful completion of QP FPP programme (Qatari Nationals)
• Possess a valid driving License - preferably Heavy Vehicle.
• Technical skills -- must be able to use a broad range of modern equipment for firefighting and rescue.
• The ability to rapidly absorb information on arrival at an incident in conditions which may be dangerous and confusing and accordingly follow instructions.
• Understanding for the victims of fire and accident and able to cope with distressing circumstances.
• Intermediate English Language (QP L3) both spoken and written.
