Job summary

Marriott International's Element brand seeks an experienced facilities and engineering manager to oversee operations of the property, including building, grounds and plant. You will manage budgets, preventative maintenance, energy conservation and safety compliance, while leading emergency response for facility issues.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 4 years in engineering/maintenance or a 2-year degree in Building/Construction with 2 years of related experience;

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years in engineering/maintenance or related area; tech training in HVAC-R, electrical, plumbing.
  • Alternatively, 2-year degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics with 2 years in related area; tech training in HVAC-R, electrical, plumbing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage property operations and engineering budgets to meet financial targets.
  • Oversee physical plant, including equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment and life safety.
  • Lead day-to-day engineering operations and alignment with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Plan and evaluate preventative maintenance programs and improve service levels.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by handling issues promptly and empowering staff to provide excellent service.
  • Maintain logs, records and adherence to SOPs/LSOPs; manage employee performance and regulatory compliance.
