Job summary

Our Habitas in Qatar is seeking an attentive F&B Server to deliver warm, personalized service across restaurant, bar, pool and events. You will welcome guests, take orders, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and ensure a seamless dining experience in line with Our Habitas luxury hospitality standards.

Experience in luxury hotels or high-end dining is preferred; strong English communication is essential, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an F&B Server, Waiter/Waitress, or similar hospitality role is preferred.
• Experience in a luxury hotel, resort, lifestyle hotel, or high-quality restaurant environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergens.
• Good spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Experience using a POS system is an advantage.

Job Description

The F&B Server is responsible for delivering warm, personalized, and attentive food and beverage service to guests while creating meaningful and memorable experiences in line with Our Habitas service philosophy and standards.

The role ensures that guests are welcomed naturally, orders are taken accurately, food and beverages are served professionally, and all guest needs are anticipated throughout their dining experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Experience & Service

Welcome and engage guests in a warm, confident, natural, and personalized manner.

Create genuine connections with guests while maintaining professional and appropriate interactions.

Present menus and confidently explain food and beverage offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.

Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams.

Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service without being intrusive.

Personalize interactions by recognizing guest preferences, names, special occasions, and dietary requirements whenever possible.

Serve food and beverages according to established service standards and sequence of service.

Regularly check guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.

Handle guest feedback professionally and immediately escape concerns when management assistance is required.

Thank guests genuinely and ensure a warm farewell at the conclusion of their experience.

Food & Beverage Operations

Prepare assigned restaurant, bar, pool, beach, event, or other F&B service areas before operations.

Complete mise-en-place and ensure service stations are fully stocked and organized.

Maintain cleanliness and presentation of tables, chairs, menus, service equipment, and surrounding areas.

Ensure correct table setup according to the meal period and outlet requirements.

Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, stewarding, and other departments to ensure smooth and timely service.

Serve and clear food, beverages, plates, glassware, and cutlery efficiently.

Process guest bills and payments accurately in accordance with established procedures.

Ensure correct posting of charges to guest rooms or other applicable accounts.

Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures.

Support special events, private dining, functions, and resort activations when required.

Product Knowledge & Upselling

Maintain strong knowledge of all menus, beverages, promotions, and resort offerings.

Understand ingredients and common allergens and communicate dietary requirements accurately to the kitchen.

Recommend dishes and beverages based on guest preferences.

Practice suggestive selling and upselling naturally while prioritizing the guest experience.

Participate in menu briefings, tastings, training sessions, and product knowledge activities.

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP requirements.

Maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming standards at all times.

Ensure food and beverages are handled safely and appropriately.

Immediately report hazards, accidents, equipment defects, or safety concerns.

Follow all resort policies, procedures, security requirements, and emergency procedures.

Handle resort property, equipment, and supplies responsibly.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across Food & Beverage and other departments.

Support colleagues during busy periods to maintain a seamless guest experience.

Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with team members.

Participate actively in daily briefings, training sessions, meetings, and resort activities.

Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in different F&B areas according to operational requirements.

Consistently demonstrate the Our Habitas values and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace.

Take ownership of the guest experience rather than limiting responsibilities to assigned tables or sections.
