Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar seeks a quantitative researcher to design and implement mathematical models of disease dynamics and intervention effects. You will use Python, R and MATLAB to support epidemiological studies under PI guidance.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team at Education City, Doha.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field relevant to modelling and epidemiology.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or epidemiological research settings desirable.
• Working knowledge of mathematical modelling, epidemiology and statistical analyses.

Responsibilities

• Assists design of epidemiological studies and translates questions into modelling approaches.
• Designs and runs deterministic, stochastic models describing disease dynamics and intervention impact.
• Conducts literature reviews, meta-analyses and statistical analyses to inform model structure and parameters.
• Cleans, links, manipulates and analyzes data; assesses data quality and documents limitations.
• Performs sensitivity and uncertainty analyses and interprets findings for the research question.
