Qualifications

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Environmental Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Doha, Qatar.


We envisage success in this role to include;


  1. Maintaining all documents as per corporate Environmental Management System ISO-14001:2015.
  2. Preparing relevant Environmental Permit Applications such as Slurry Lagoon, Dewatering, Micro-tunneling, Haulage, Chemical storage, Laydown & Temporary site facilities for MECC approval. Preparing and reviewing Environmental Baseline Reports and Aspect and Impact Assessment for the project submitted by Contractors.
  3. Updating and maintaining the Project specific Environmental Aspect and Impact register and Environmental Management System for the projects.
  4. Developing environmental project objectives and targets in line with the project vision and report to management and core team.
  5. Reviewing, Implementing and reporting the Construction Environment Management Plan (CEMP) revisions on a yearly basis and as required.
  6. Reviewing and updating the CEMP in accordance with the contract, legal and client requirement.
  7. Reviewing monthly environmental Contractor statistics, KPI’s & resources and report submissions to Client.
  8. Review and submission of QSD EPMS questionnaire to Client in coordination with the Contractor.
  9. Coordination with KEO team for submission of construction material recycling RPD/QSD tracker (CMRT) report.
  10. Submitting the NCR closeout to Client and coordinate/follow up with the contractor /Client until final closure of raised NCRs.
  11. Leading RPD/KEO and Contractor Environmental site audit and coordinate with RPD Contractor for reports rectification and report submissions.
  12. CEMP quarterly compliance report - review and submit to Client.
  13. Maintaining/updating environmental permit tracker and coordinate with the Contractor to submit renewal request as applicable and compliance mechanisms.
  14. Providing environmental and sustainability summary update reports to KEO core team on a monthly basis.
  15. Updating environmental part for Minutes of progress meeting as applicable.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from an accredited University or College program. Proven experience in Managing the development of all the environment standards for the organization as per the requirements stipulated in ISO 14001. ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
