Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our team and ensure our facilities remain safe, fully functional, and well-maintained at all times. The Engineering Supervisor assists in the daily supervision of the Engineering Department and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the hotel s buildings, systems, and equipment. This role supports operational excellence and guest satisfaction by leading a team of technicians and coordinating maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the work of engineering staff and contractors.
• Perform routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and inventory.
• Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and sustainability efforts.
• Ensure team compliance with safety policies, health regulations, and hotel standards.
• Assist in training and development of junior technicians.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a hotel or commercial building maintenance environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical License, or EPA Certification) are a plus.
