Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology is seeking a senior I&C Engineer to lead field instrumentation and control efforts in Qatar, overseeing compliance with project specs and ensuring timely delivery. You will steer EPC contractor alignment, manage interfaces, and provide expert I&C guidance across multi-discipline teams, including pre-commissioning activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8+ years in I&C within Oil & Gas, with offshore experience and familiarity with safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years’ I&C experience in Oil & Gas, including offshore design.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control/safety systems, metering, vendor packages, and codes/standards.
• Smart JB experience preferred.
• Pre-commissioning/commissioning experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure I&C engineering complies with project specifications, approved variations, design safety, and execution requirements.
• Drive EPC Contractor execution, technical alignment, quality, and timely delivery of I&C deliverables.
• Manage ICSS POs and coordinate EPC Contractor/System Vendor integration with existing facilities.
• Monitor contractor schedules, progress, changes, and recovery plans to address delays.
• Provide I&C expertise and support across multi-discipline activities, interfaces, workshops, and reviews.
• Coordinate key vendor interfaces to ensure quality and execution objectives.
• Support project leadership with I&C issues, recommendations, and lessons learned.
