Job summary

SteelAxis in Al-Rayyan, Qatar, is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for a full-time role. You will operate heavy equipment to excavate, move and grade earth in construction projects while following safety standards and project specifications.

Key duties include trenching, digging foundations, controlling load movements and maintaining equipment. We offer a competitive monthly salary of 1,100 USD, with opportunities for advancement; please note accommodation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating excavators.
• Biometric passport preferred.
• Ability to read and understand project plans.
• Physically fit to operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator to dig trenches, foundations or holes according to project specifications.
• Use hand and foot controls to manipulate the equipment and perform tasks such as lifting, moving and dumping materials.
• Inspect equipment before each use and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Monitor operations for safety and efficiency adjusting controls as necessary.
• Communicate with team members to ensure work is being completed accurately and on schedule.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
