Job summary

Client of MENA Consultant seeks an experienced Electrical Technician Diesel Generators to support maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems in Qatar. The role requires hands-on experience with leading generator brands and strong technical knowledge of generator electrical components, control panels, controllers and wiring.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting diesel generators from Cummins, Caterpillar, SDMO, Perkins, reading wiring diagrams, and working

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel generator maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, SDMO, Perkins.
• Experience with alternators, ATS, AMF panels, generator controllers, wiring.
• ITI or Diploma in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of DSE ComAp PowerCommand or SmartGen controllers.
• Previous GCC experience.
• Valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults affecting generator operation.
• Inspect test and troubleshoot alternators ATS AMF panels controllers battery chargers and electrical wiring.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities on generators from Cummins Caterpillar SDMO Perkins and other manufacturers.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams during maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Work with generator control systems and controllers including DSE ComAp PowerCommand and SmartGen where applicable.
