Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and process-driven Lean Engineer to support Lean Construction principles on a Roads and Infrastructure Project. The ideal candidate will optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve collaboration using Lean tools, performance tracking, and continuous improvement practices. Candidates should have 7+ years of experience, including at least 3 years applying Lean methodologies in infrastructure or construction projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Support the implementation of Lean Construction principles on-site, aligning with project objectives.
  2. Facilitate Last Planner System (LPS) planning sessions with supervision and contractor teams.
  3. Identify process inefficiencies and propose waste reduction measures.
  4. Develop and monitor visual performance dashboards, KPIs, and takt-time planning metrics.
  5. Train team members on Lean tools such as 5S, RCA, Value Stream Mapping, and A3.
  6. Lead or support continuous improvement workshops and document lessons learned.
  7. Collaborate with planning and digital teams for process alignment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years total experience, with at least 3 in Lean implementation in Qatar.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow/Green/Black Belt), LCI training.
  • Grade A UPDA is a plus.
  • Excellent English skills (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, Lean planning tools; familiarity with Primavera P6, BIM 360 is optional.
