What will be your mission as Project Manager

The Project Manager (PM) leads and oversees projects across the Middle East. Depending on demand in Growth Markets, the PM may also be allocated to projects elsewhere in the region. The role requires a proven record in project management, team leadership, and software delivery; familiarity with public tendering; risk assessment and mitigation; budget and execution plan development; shared resource management; and a genuine interest in water and environmental issues. The PM drives projects end-to-end, delivering on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans: schedules, budgets, and resource needs.
  • Monitor progress; identify and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Ensure delivery meets contractual obligations and customer requirements.
  • Lead project teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Liaise with customers, internal teams, and third-party suppliers to maintain clear and timely communication.
  • Apply Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies as appropriate.
  • Support public tendering processes and manage public contracts.
  • Conduct risk classification, prioritization, and mitigation planning.
  • Implement best management practices and lead due diligence processes arising from risk assessments.
  • Build and maintain execution budgets and plans for complex projects and programs, proactively managing change.
  • Implement effective resource management techniques, including across shared teams.
  • Identify and pursue upsell opportunities; provide direct support to Sales when required.
What will make you successful in this position
  • 57 years in project delivery or operations management, ideally in the water industry or digital solutions.
  • Proven leadership of complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to influence C-suite and technical directors on digital solution projects.
  • Experience managing multi-regional project teams and navigating varied local regulations.
  • Track record in digital transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow revenue by adopting innovative ideas.
  • Knowledge of the full water cycle (resources, supply, sanitation, irrigation, reuse, discharge).
  • Experience or knowledge of software in at least one water cycle branch (preferably sanitation, potable water, or resources).
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Hydraulic, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with water cycle expertise. A higher engineering degree is desirable.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or proven equivalent expertise is desirable.
  • Regional travel up to 50%.
  • Arabic proficiency sufficient for client meetings and technical documents (spoken and written).
