QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical/Piping) CAT III

This role is responsible for quality assurance and quality control during FEED/detail engineering, procurement, and construction project phases. It involves reviewing EPC deliverables, coordinating third-party source-inspection activities, and reporting to the Head of Projects QA/QC and the COMPANY PMT to ensure project compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Certified CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or equivalent.
• Level II certification in NDT methods such as RT, MPT, DPT, VT, and UT.
• ISO 9001:2015 internal/lead auditor certification, with broad QA/QC audit experience.
• Preferably, API SIRE – Source Inspector Rotating Equipment certification, especially for gas turbines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, focusing on brownfield, greenfield projects, and LNG facilities.
• At least 5 years' experience with compressor/turbine manufacturers and rotating equipment standards.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards like ISO, ASME, API, ASNT, NACE, AWS, EN 10204.
• Experience in source inspection of rotating equipment, especially gas turbines.
• Hands-on knowledge of NDT techniques and Level II certification in visual, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, radiographic, and ultrasonic testing.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Promote and ensure compliance with COMPANY QA/QC requirements.
2. Coordinate with project stakeholders and third-party organizations.
3. Review project scope and determine quality verification activities.
4. Lead and participate in quality verification activities and meetings.
5. Review contractor/supplier quality deliverables.
6. Chair pre-inspection meetings and coordinate site and workshop inspections.
7. Assign third-party inspectors and implement QA/QC plans.
8. Monitor and evaluate QA/QC team performance and conduct NCR management.
9. Lead punch-list and pre-commissioning activities.
10. Review technical documents, material requisitions, and vendor inspection plans.
11. Support source inspection activities and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
