We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Italian Head Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a culinary visionary with a deep understanding of Italian cuisine, capable of leading our kitchen brigade to consistently deliver exceptional dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the execution of the menu, ensuring adherence to authentic Italian cooking techniques and flavors.
- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on proper cooking methods, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to plan and cost menus, monitor inventory, and maintain food quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as sanitation procedures, within the kitchen.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu development to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food handling and storage guidelines.
Job requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef.
- Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine, including regional specialties and traditional cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Creativity and innovation in menu development, with a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and proficiency in managing food costs and budgets.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
