About The Role

As Shop Supervisor, you will assist the Duty Manager in coordinating shift operations on the shop floor, focusing on sales, customer service, merchandising, staff allocation, cash spot-checks, stock checking, shift closing, and handling customer grievances. Your role is crucial in achieving daily sales targets by guiding and motivating your team.

Key Accountabilities

1. Assist the Duty Manager in organizing daily shop operations, including staffing, cash handling, and stock management, to maximize sales and ensure policy adherence.
2. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant parties to maintain optimal inventory for sales opportunities.
3. Support the Duty Manager in prioritizing daily tasks to ensure timely completion of workflows.
4. Oversee cash discrepancies and ensure stock shrinkage stays within budget.
5. Conduct on-the-job training to enhance team members' customer service and product knowledge.
6. Perform random till spot checks daily to uphold honesty and integrity standards.
7. Coordinate shift handovers with the Duty Manager, covering daily tasks, store condition, sales, and operations.
8. Ensure proper closing procedures are followed, including tills, stock conditions, merchandising, and visual standards.
9. Handle sales returns and void slips appropriately.
10. Authorize staff discounts, ensuring limits are respected and consistent application across employees.
11. Respond to guest feedback and complaints, escalating issues to management for improvement.
12. Act as Deputy Duty Manager when required.
13. Communicate daily with the sales team about promotions and new product launches through pre-shift briefings, ensuring team readiness.
14. Contribute to achieving daily sales targets by informing and motivating the team during shifts.
