Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage accounting and reporting for their LNG Trading business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, technical accounting, and digitalization, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. A qualified accountant with a relevant degree is essential, and postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.

Primary Purpose Of The Job

Carry out accurate and timely accounting and reporting for the LNG Trading business and other ancillary activities and contributing to robust control environment for QatarEnergy Trading LLC (QET).

Required Experience And Skills

5-7 years of experience in Trading Organization Finance and financial analysis with leading IOCs, NOCs or reputable Trading companies.

Proven technical accounting skills in derivative accounting (IFRS 9), lease accounting (IFRS 16) and revenue recognition (IFRS 15).

Experience in working with CTRMS's, SAP and Microsoft Office.

Digitalization Experts - Someone who is strong in MS excel holding the ability to create VBA codes building macros would be an advantage to automate manual ways of working.

Proven communication and problem-solving skills.

Excellent team working and networking skills.

Self-starter, able to take complete ownership and finish tasks to tight timelines.

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Educational Qualifications

Qualified Accountant: ICAEW (Chartered Accountants of England & Wales) ,CPA (USA), CIMA, ACCA or equivalent required

Bachelor's degree in science, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent from an internationally recognized university. Postgraduate Qualification (MSc. or MBA) is considered a plus.
