Job Description: Structural Fabricator

The Structural Fabricator is responsible for carrying out cutting, fitting, and fabrication of structural steel components according to fabrication drawings, welding plans, and project specifications. The role ensures the accurate assembly and preparation of materials for welding and installation.

Responsibilities

1. Interpret and work from structural fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
2. Mark, cut, bend, and assemble beams, channels, plates, angles, and structural profiles.
3. Use tools such as grinders, gas cutting torches, drills, magnetic base drills, hydraulic presses, etc.
4. Ensure dimensional accuracy and tolerances of fabricated components before welding.
5. Prepare workpieces for welding by performing proper beveling, grinding, and fitting techniques.
6. Fabricate platforms, pipe racks, supports, skids, and structural frames as per job requirements.
7. Follow instructions from the Fabrication Supervisor or Foreman and complete tasks on schedule.
8. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
9. Comply with all HSE rules and safety procedures during fabrication work.
10. Coordinate with welders and team members for smooth job execution.
