An established industry player is seeking an experienced Inspection Engineer to join their team in Qatar. This role involves providing critical inspection support for static equipment and piping, ensuring safe operations in a tax-free environment. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in plant inspection, particularly in petrochemical settings, and will be responsible for optimizing equipment integrity through advanced inspection techniques. NES Qatar is currently looking for an Inspection Engineer for our Qatar-based petrochemical client. This is a direct hire role that also offers family benefits.
The main purpose of this role is to provide cost-effective and timely inspection support services to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the company’s static pressure plant, storage tanks, and interconnecting pipework. The role involves optimizing and monitoring the integrity of static equipment and piping using appropriate inspection technology, NDT, and RBI methodologies to safeguard equipment integrity and maximize plant availability.
Candidates should have at least 15 years of experience in the in-service and shutdown/turnaround inspection of plant fixed equipment/piping. Candidates preferably from Methanol, MTBE, and Ammonia plants would be considered. Candidates should have at least 5 years of supervisory experience in an operating plant as a direct hire company employee.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, metallurgy engineering, or equivalent.
API certifications in 510 and 570 are required at a minimum, with API 653 and AWS/CSWIP or equivalent qualifications and Level II certification of basic NDT techniques (UT, RT, MT, and PT) being an added advantage.
