Job description

The Project Manager oversees construction projects, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, materials, and equipment. They ensure that specifications are followed, and work proceeds with quality, on schedule, and within budget. This position involves developing a cost-effective plan and schedule for project completion, utilizing resources efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation to guide construction.
  2. Manage and coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution.
  3. Oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and maintain financial control to stay within budget.
  4. Create and maintain project schedules, track progress, and address delays or changes.
  5. Ensure all construction work meets quality standards and complies with regulations.
  6. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  7. Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance and resolving issues.
  8. Enforce safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  9. Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  10. Address issues during construction, implementing solutions to keep the project on track.
Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of professional client management and interaction.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Proficiency in computers and building management tools.
  • Financial and job cost accounting knowledge.
  • Contracts administration expertise.
  • Technical proficiency in design and building systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, etc.
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, is required.
Job Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role, with GCC experience being a plus.
  • Leadership, accountability, resilience, and quality focus.
  • Experience in project management, planning, and construction budgeting at Level 4.
  • Experience in both commercial and residential construction at Level 4.
  • Ability to build high-performing teams, drive speed of execution, and optimize costs.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
