Job summary

A leading technology consulting firm in Qatar is seeking an Oracle DBA to manage and maintain database systems. The role involves installation, monitoring, and ensuring the performance and security of Oracle databases. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Computer Science and at least 6 years of relevant experience, with strong skills in Oracle technologies and Linux/Unix systems.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience as Oracle DBA or similar role.
• Experience in Oracle RAC, Dataguard, RMAN, EXADATA, OGG.
• Experience in Linux/Unix Operating system.

Responsibilities

• Install and Upgrade Oracle database and Corresponding Application Tools.
• Monitor system's health and performance.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.

Skills and Experience

Degree in Computer Science or Technical Related Field

6 years of experience asOracle DBA or similar role

Experience in Oracle RAC, Dataguard, RMAN,EXADATA,OGG and Engineered systems

Experience in Linux/Unix Operating system.

Database Systems Administration Techniques understanding of DB Performance tuning on various Operating Systems, good troubleshooting skills, Database Migration techniques

Attention to details and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

Install and Upgrade Oracle database and Corresponding Application Tools.

Monitor system's health and performance

Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security

Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time

Provide suggestions for solutions

Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement

Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems

Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after working hours

Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 1 month)
