What are you going to do
- Provide a variety of Control Engineering supports to contribute to the division strategy and goals, including design reviews, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis, advanced troubleshooting, punch list and warranty claim resolutions, and Management of Change.
- Support development and implementation of surveillance and administration programs for critical Control Systems of new projects to ensure high standards of Reliability, Availability, and Cyber Security.
- Advise and support the definition and implementation of integrity programs for control equipment to achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and availability.
- Provide technical input related to your area of expertise to other disciplines and functions to support overall business objectives.
- Supervise and ensure the effective completion of activities undertaken by contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide less experienced engineers in implementing the company's integrity and reliability systems.
- Support and facilitate the smooth completion of project tie-in requirements across all systems under your area of responsibility.
- Maintain an Issue Register to identify and resolve critical issues, including new technology risks that could impact project reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Prepare discipline handover packages for the operating company following startup.
- Support high-risk commissioning activities for complex and large-scale projects by undertaking system surveillance, tuning and optimizing control systems, and providing advisory support for operations and maintenance.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Ability to work and make decisions under highly stressful conditions.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and people skills.
- Proficiency in using professional office and technical applications.
- Competence level as a Senior Control Engineer according to Control Engineering Technical Competencies.
