Job description

Senior Technical Training Officer – Qatar

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company operating within the energy sector. They are currently seeking a Senior Technical Training Officer to oversee their specialised training and development programmes, based in their Doha office.

Responsibilities
  1. Planning and organising technical learning, development, and training programmes for existing employees both overseas and locally, based on identified needs and skills gaps.
  2. Assisting in the development of training materials in coordination with internal teams or external subject matter experts.
  3. Overseeing and managing development programmes for newly recruited technical trainees from high school or technical diploma backgrounds, ensuring effective training and progression into skilled roles.
  4. Scheduling technical training sessions, managing assessments, and handling scholarship payments for trainees, in close coordination with educational institutes.
  5. Liaising with technical training institutes, on-the-job training coordinators, and line supervisors to design, plan, and review training programmes that meet specific skills requirements.
  6. Tracking and managing training-related expenses, resolving discrepancies, and processing invoices through HRMS for timely payments.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university.
  2. At least 8 years of experience in similar roles within large, multinational companies, preferably in the energy sector.
  3. Hands-on operational and implementation experience of technical training.
  4. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders including subject matter experts and educational institutions.
  5. Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
