About the role

We’re seeking an Operations Excellence (OE) Specialist, where you’ll play a pivotal role in optimizing operational performance and driving sustainable improvements across our assets. As the OE subject-matter expert, you will lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement best practices, and contribute to QatarEnergy LNG’s leadership in the LNG industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the OE/Process Safety Program (PSP) expert, identifying operational gaps and implementing solutions to maximize business performance.
• Lead workshops, training, and change programs to embed OE best practices and drive cultural transformation.
• Develop and execute OE/PSP initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company objectives.
• Establish KPIs, audit programs, and feedback mechanisms to track performance and drive accountability.
• Coordinate critical projects such as baseline studies, best practice surveys, and Level 3 implementation plans.
• Maintain and optimize OE-related digital tools (e.g. ESMS, MVT, FOPAM, POPAM) to enhance operational visibility.
• Support the development of procedures, training materials, and competency assessment for Operational teams.

Background & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field).
• 8 plus years’ experience in Oil & Gas operations, maintenance, or process safety roles.
• Proven track record in implementing OER/PSP programs and managing change in complex environments.
• Solid facilitation and training skills, with experience leading workshops and conferences.
• Analytical mindset with expertise in KPIs, data tracking, and performance analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint).
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
